I really don't understand why his tonsils weren't removed when he was a child.Did they not do it back then? Was it a matter of money? George explained in numerous books how he suffered tonsilitis every year until he was 13 on his birthday.He doesn't say how many times he had it as an adult, but this pic from '69 shows George in the hospital again with tonsilitis.I have a strong feeling they may have at last been removed here, as his voice quality changed somewhat after this.I also read once that the reason he got tonsilitis this time was that he had a bad tooth in the back of his mouth that infected them.Yuck.Poor fella!
