Don't scratch on camera.
This pic shows George and his lovely bride Olivia in the early 80's, in Australia, where they had a home on Hamilton Island,I believe.
It also shows that George seems to have no modesty about taking care of an itch while cameras are present.

Tonsilitis--Looking Pitiful.
I really don't understand why his tonsils weren't removed when he was a child.Did they not do it back then? Was it a matter of money? George explained in numerous books how he suffered tonsilitis every year until he was 13 on his birthday. He doesn't say how many times he had it as an adult, but this pic from '69 shows George in the hospital again with tonsilitis.I have a strong feeling they may have at last been removed here, as his voice quality changed somewhat after this.I also read once that the reason he got tonsilitis this time was that he had a bad tooth in the back of his mouth that infected them.Yuck.Poor fella!

George Cracks Up.
This awesome sequence of photos shows "The Great Stone Face",as John once called him, finally surrendering to the surrounding tee-hees (Paul has already lost it) and having a laugh.
"I don't know what you lot think is so funny...." (sulks)
"Well, I suppose it was mildly amusing.."
"Must...keep...mouth straight...."
"SNORK"
"Ah, what the hell...HAH!"

George as a Vulture!
This is copied from my blog The Daily Gurgle.
If you watch the Disney movie Jungle Book, you may notice a distinct similarity of the Vultures to The Beatles. I have heard numerous stories from "The Beatles were asked to do the voices and refused, mainly through John Lennon throwing a fit" to "The Beatles were asked to provide the voices and their scheduling simply didn't have room for it". Nevertheless, although one could say that the carrion birds could resemble any sixties British band, there are some individual features they have that remind me very much of The Fab Four. I cannot deliver a YouTube clip, unfortunately--that stinks, because some of the voices they did end up with are strikingly similar to the Beatle to which each one corresponds. You just gotta hear them!
Ah, well..Let's explore.
Ziggy is the "John" vulture. He is the main joker, the instigator of trouble and is...well....chunky.
Dizzy is our "George".He is extremely deadpan and his voice has a most humorous resemblance to the real George's. He is also by far the skinniest and the most hunched-over,matching Harrison's thin frame and often hunched shoulders.
Buzzy is the "Ringo" version of the Vultures. He's the shortest, has the deepest voice, huge beak, and virtually no chin. I might also add that when he speaks, you hear a little snare drum in the soundtrack.
And then there's Flaps, the "Paul". He speaks in quick, short sentences and has the "pretty" look of the four, with big dreamy eyes and an often-puckered mouth.
Here is Ziggy coaxing the others, or rather shoving them, off the end of their branch to go down and hassle Mowgli.
The Vultures pick on Mowgli, cracking jokes at his strange apearance(they have no idea what a human is) until they realize they've hurt his feelings and regret doing so. Look how Dizzy is standing, looks so very like George.
The four sing like a barbershop quartet, but Dizzy, Flaps and Ziggy (George, Paul and John) start the main harmony and Buzzy adds a low part at the end, again like Ringo.
Despite their shabby appearance and slight obnoxiousness, the Vultures have hearts of gold and welcome Mowgli into their circle (okay, the Beatles were more tightly knit than that). But here, Dizzy and Flaps look especially like George and Paul, I think. With Dizzy, it's the "hair". Flaps just has that ever-cheerful-Paul expression.

Silk Robe.
Sleeping Beatles.
This is from the movie Help! and of course the Boys are just doing this for the camera, but I am so glad George is right in the front; that is such an adorable shot of him all snuggled in bed. Just darling.
There is also a continuity glitch here. After John calls the others on the phone and wakes them up,a nightstand magically appears by George's bed.
I also think it's funny that George is wearing his watch with pajamas, and his hair is perfect. If the crew had wanted a little realism, they should have had George's hair be an absolute wreck.Judging from hotel-room pictures I've seen of just-woken-up Beatles, George had some incredible pillow hair. But, this is a fictional sixties movie with a popular batch of celebrity darlings, and I guess the crew wanted them looking slick and clean.
Here's George with some nice pillow hair, and not looking very happy about having his picture taken with it.

Wet Beatle!
Nothing quite like a wet Beatle.
This is one of those pics in which someone tried to remove a waterwark.I'm mixed on this process..sometimes I think I'd rather simply deal with the watermark than have this strange blurry patch across the face(as that's usually where the watermark ends up).I mean, look at his right ear--it looks like a tiny ping pong paddle stuck into his head.

Deleted Scene from "Help!"
Observe this strange picture.George under some kind of glass or plastic bubble.I'm sure you're all thinking, "what the--?"
Ever wondered why, in the movie Help!, George didn't have a "Ringo unmasked" scene? Well, in the novelization of the movie, he did, and it looks as if it was actually filmed and discarded. There is no way this strange picture can be anything but.
By the way, deleted scenes can be found here.
Allow me to explain the scene:
(please keep in mind I'm writing this from memory, as my book of Help! is nowhere to be found at the moment)
The Boys are in the Bahamas, of course, and John and Paul have both had their stabs at being Ringo, and getting conked, but fooling the Kaili Cult thugs.Well, it seems that to keep the next Beatle from being hurt, a wily device is employed.
"Ringo" is relaxing in this lounge chair outside in the sun, sound asleep and snoring a little. The thugs sneak up on him and try to bash his brains out with clubs only to discover that "Ringo" is protected under an invisible glass/plastic bubble thingy."Ringo" wakes up, pulls off his mask and reveals that he is George.I think the shot here is showing George actually in the act of pulling the mask from his face. You can also see one of the clubs hitting the bubble, and in the distance some of the Bahamian police officers are coming to the rescue. And you can see the 'Ringo" shirt he is wearing is like John's and Paul's.
Neat, eh??

"This is Love."
I have an uncanny ability to make Beatles(or solo Beatles) songs come on the sound systems of many stores I walk into.I went to PetSmart yesterday, and,of all things..of all things, "This is Love" came on.One of my favorite George songs ever.Go,me. :)
George in his Undies?
At last, the very wonderful "Old Time Swimsuit" home movie taken by Dezo Hoffman has been uploaded to YouTube.Or, at least, a good chunk of it.
Two interesting tidbits of this clip are the song choice,"Don't Ever Change",which is unusual in that it is Paul and George singing lead together.
The other is that,as Ringo is prancing past the row of cars, you can see George trying to change his clothes behind an open car door.(squints)
